Description

Thompson Thrift Construction is seeking to hire a Full-Time Financial Analyst for our office in Terre Haute, IN. The Financial Analyst financially approves our subcontractors, maintains our analytical spreadsheets, and creates analytical memos and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the financial statements of subcontractors and serve as contact person.
• Oversee our monthly job reports, which are maintained in excel. This includes our inventory, revenue forecasting, and work in progress reports.
• Prepare and distribute our monthly financial statement dashboard.
• Identify and resolve accounting and reporting issues, and present analysis to accounting management.
• Assist with budgeting.
• Perform various accounting duties – may include sales tax, financial statement audit, and internal control.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business. Or an equivalent level of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience in public, corporate or construction accounting preferred.
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements for creditworthiness.
• Strong ability with Excel, advanced is preferred.
• Experience with Sage accounting, Microsoft PowerBI or Procore is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities. Able to work independently and collaboratively to find solutions.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Organized and is able to manage deadlines.
• Conduct themselves with a high level of integrity.
