Financial Systems Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the implementation and administration of the organization's financial systems. Oversees the daily operations of the department. Being a Financial Systems Manager researches financial record-keeping and reporting requirements, and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements. Creates processes and procedures to ensure best practices for financial systems are used throughout the organization. Additionally, Financial Systems Manager trains departmental staff as needed. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Systems Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager will report to the CFO and oversee financial budgeting and forecasting processes, analyze financial performance, build dashboards and reports, and assist in strategic decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Budgeting:  Coordinate the creation of annual budgets for the entire organization or for specific departments. Monitor budget variances and identify the cause of any variances.
    • Financial Forecasting:  Lead the development of detailed financial forecasts, incorporating historical data, external trends, department insights, and company-specific information.
    • Performance Analysis:  Evaluate company financial performance compared to the budget and historical data. Prepare periodic financial reports for senior management that provide a foundation for business decisions.
    • Strategic Analysis:  Support strategic planning initiatives with financial analysis, modeling, and recommendations.
    • Financial Modeling:  Develop complex financial models to support decision-making regarding projects, initiatives, and contracts.
    • Data Analysis:  Analyze large datasets to distill insights and assess financial outcomes.
    • KPIs and Dashboards:  Create dashboards that identify, track, and report on financial and non-financial key performance indicators that drive the business and provide actionable insights.
    • Stakeholder Communication:  Present financial findings and insights to key stakeholders, including executive leadership and board members.
    • Process Improvement:  Continually refine financial processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting, and performance analysis. A key near-term focus will be the creation of dashboards and PowerBI reports.
    • Collaboration:  Work with various departments such as accounting, operations, sales, and marketing to gather inputs and align financial plans with company strategy.
    • Risk Management:  Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities and advise on mitigation strategies.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (MBA or CPA is often preferred).
    • Significant experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
    • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
    • Experience with Power BI is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial principles, and regulatory and financial reporting standards. Knowledge of SaaS metrics is a plus.
