Financial Systems Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the implementation and administration of the organization's financial systems. Oversees the daily operations of the department. Being a Financial Systems Manager researches financial record-keeping and reporting requirements, and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements. The Financial Manager is responsible for the financial management of the Division of Student Affairs; Enrollment Management, Marketing and Student Retention; Office of Equity, Inclusion and Community Impact; and Public Safety. The Financial Manager advises the Vice Presidents and senior leadership on financial strategy, budget development, and policy. This oversees all unrestricted and restricted funds and is responsible for understanding, implementing, and overseeing System and University financial policies, practices, and procedures. Under the direction of the Vice Presidents for the respective areas, the Financial Manager authorizes expenditures within the overall division budgets and is authorized to negotiate financial matters with University staff and external contacts. The Financial Manager is also responsible for oversight management and collaboration with soft-money funded centers as assigned.
