Vinology, wine bar, restaurant and event space in Ann Arbor, is seeking experienced Fine Dining Servers. With over 30 wines by the glass, and a list of over 100 bottles, our menus are always evolving. Servers will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by making guests feel welcome, describing menu items and taking/serving orders in a professional and friendly manner.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests in a fine dining setting
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the dining experience
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant preferred
- TIPs or ServSafe and FoodSafe Certification is a plus
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to provide personalized service
- Excellent upselling abilities to maximize sales opportunities
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and grace
- Knowledge of Toast or similar POS systems is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service while maintaining attention to detail
- Must have a high level of hospitality and enjoy working with people
