Mediterrano is a popular, highly respected, destination restaurant in the greater Ann Arbor area, known for our creative and progressive approach to preparing Mediterranean cuisine and for our outstanding service. We have a dedicated following that has been built over the last 29 years, and have been privileged to see a new wave of growth following a renovation of our building.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist using Opentable
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
- Assist with seating arrangements for large parties or special events
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner
-Bus tables and reset to ensure we are turning tables for servers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in guest relations, food service, or hospitality preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with patience and professionalism
- Familiarity with OpenTable system is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
