Position Requirements:

• Collaborates with Case Managers, Recreation Coordinator, and Shift Coordinator to provide direction for resident activities.
• Collaborates with Case Managers to interpret goals from Individual Service Plans for use with Daily Documentation
• Tracks and tallies Daily Documentation scores and updates the boards as residents progress
• Reviews Behavior Management of residents in assigned cottage/s
• Attend Behavior Intervention Planning (BIP) meetings, MDT meetings, and any mandatory training, as directed.
• Maintains knowledge of all resident information sheets and resident safety plans including 1:1
• Completes required daily documentation such as Behavior Tracking, Incident Reports, Daily Documents, and any other applicable forms.
• Assists in therapeutic interventions of residents.
• Monitors the whereabouts of residents at all times according to the agency’s policy and procedures.
• Welcome & mentor new staff, serving as a role model
• Attend (6) or more optional trainings per evaluation period
• Assists in the development and coordination of recreational activities.
• Provides Adult/Child CPR/First-Aid during emergency situations.
• Provides appropriate SCM interventions according to their certification, when a resident is harming himself, others or when imminent harm is present.
• Serves on various committees for Performance Improvement & Individual Career Path
• Ensures proper resident hygiene of assigned residents.
• Other duties, as assigned by Residential Shift Coordinator, Director of Residential Services, Education Shift Coordinator or Residential Services Coordinator 

Position Qualifications:

• High School Education or equivalent (Associates Degree Preferred)
• Eight to twelve months prior experience working with target population preferred
• Maintain Skill Builder 3 or 4 qualifications
• Adult/Child CPR/First Aid and SCM Certified
• Knowledgeable computer skills including accessing email, internet & Microsoft office

• Interact in a pleasant and professional manner with other employees, physicians, providers, agencies, residents, and resident’s families to promote a team effort through cooperation and respect for fellow employees.
• Carrying/lifting/transferring (min 50 lb.), communicating, stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching, standing, walking and repetitive activity. Performing physical interventions.      
• Ability to see, hear, feel, and verbalize.
• May be exposed to fumes/odors, body fluids/blood/tissue.
• May be required to adhere to resident safety coverage policy.
• Maintain annual TB tests, required paperwork and background screenings as required by licensing agency.

• Complete required hours of Orientation Training and any other training required by regulations, which will include SCM training.  Skill Builders will be required to pass the SCM written test as well as the physical test and attend twelve hours of annual ongoing refresher training along with passing the physical and written exams annually.
