Fire Fighter is responsible for rapid response to fires, accidents, and other emergencies to protect people, property, and the environment. Works with firefighting teams to control and extinguish fires and safely manage hazardous materials. Being a Fire Fighter performs search and rescue, responds to auto accidents, and provides emergency medical services. Uses and operates fire tools, equipment and apparatus as effectively and safely as possible. Additionally, Fire Fighter performs routine maintenance and inspection of firefighting equipment and gear to ensure proper condition and preparedness for emergencies. Prepares post-incident reports as required. May participate in fire safety education and inspection activities. Typically is required to pass periodic physical ability tests. May require registry in NREMT. May require an associate degree in fire science. Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fire Fighter works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Manage Fire Protection Systems construction new projects. Projects will include Industrial and Commercial. Can comprehend NFPA code, design/installation methods, hydraulic calculations & material lists for fire sprinkler systems.

    Salary Range - $40.00 to $46.00 an hour based on experience

    Position is located in Englewood, CO.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversee all sprinkler construction projects

    Manage job cost and project scheduling

    Work with designers to get designs completed and submitted

    Follow up and manage permits for projects

    Report weekly to the GM with project updates

    Oversee the sprinkler service superintendent

    Manage Sprinkler warehouse and tool inventory

    Coordinate and process contract job change orders

    Understand design & Layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems, Hydraulic Calculations, Field Surveying

    Understand listing of system piping for fabrication

    Coordination for installation between trades

    Managing cost and understanding budgets

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    NICET certification preferred but not required

    Prior Fire Sprinkler Construction Management experience

    General mechanical knowledge

    Experience in Fire Protection Installation or Design

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversee installation labor on assigned projects

    Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
