Fire Inspector conducts inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with fire and safety codes. Prepares reports and issues violation documents. Being a Fire Inspector documents and defines actions needed to resolve non-compliance situations. Conducts fire investigations. Additionally, Fire Inspector has extensive knowledge of codes, ordinances, construction materials, and alarm systems. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science or equivalent. Has completed fire inspection training and may require the Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI) credential and applicable State License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Fire Inspector is capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without direct supervision. Has a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the job.     Ideally, candidate has knowledge and experience in various/all aspects of building construction & mechanical systems and a willingness to SELL/CLOSE on the spot.  The potential opportunity is within the Bergin/Hudson/Essex County geography is which demographically dense.  This is the opportunity to sell/close, oversee and expedite emergency services on hundred-thousand-to-multi-million dollar losses.

    Position: Fire Chaser
    Hours/Week: Full-time, 40 hours

    Responsibilites: Fire Chaser
    The Fire Chaser will consult with property owners impacted by fire, water damage or other large-scale emergency events
    • Deliver an experience of extraordinary care while serving people in their time of need
    • Responds to emergency property situations and all generated leads
    • CLOSE opportunities on the spot
    • Educates the consumer on products or services
    • Build relationships and communicate Paul Davis services
    • Monitor, generate and interpret lead sources (emergency notification systems)
    • Provide emergency recovery kits and services to impacted property owners
    • Establish and maintain working relationships with local emergency response agencies and local community
    • Participate in community events
    • Build and maintain a database of customer information
    • Manage data in our main operating systems, RMS
    • All other duties as assigned

    Required Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Four plus years’ experience in the following areas (any combination): restoration, military, fire services, EMS, police, medical responder, dispatching of emergency responders, construction, insurance
    • Two plus years’ experience in an outside sales role or customer service role
    • Outside sales
