Fire Inspector conducts inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with fire and safety codes. Prepares reports and issues violation documents. Being a Fire Inspector documents and defines actions needed to resolve non-compliance situations. Conducts fire investigations. Additionally, Fire Inspector has extensive knowledge of codes, ordinances, construction materials, and alarm systems. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science or equivalent. Has completed fire inspection training and may require the Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI) credential and applicable State License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Position Summary
The Inspector assists the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The Inspector acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper. This position includes assisting in the following areas: room inspections and inventory control, and providing 100 percent guest satisfaction at all times.
Responsibilities
~ Inspects rooms daily to ensure brand standards and overall cleanliness.
~ Ability to open and close housekeeping department as needed.
~ Report all maintenance tickets to the maintenance department in a timely basis.
~ Excellent communication between all departments.
~ Maintaining a positive work environment, treating employees fairly and respectfully as well as promoting a strong team atmosphere.
~ Maintain a clean and organized department, storage closets, and ensure housekeeping carts are maintained according to HMS and IHG requirements.
~ Be involved in training new hires and ensuring that they are set up for success to meet brand standards and overall cleanliness.
~ Ensuring employees are trained in all emergency procedures, key safety, and guest safety.
~ Ensuring 100 percent guest satisfaction and guest safety.

Requirements
~ Prior housekeeping experience is required.
~ Prior experience in a hotel setting is preferred.
