Fire Inspector Supervisor oversees the inspection of fire-damaged dwellings to determine cause and prevention. Enforces a variety of fire laws, regulations, and policies. Being a Fire Inspector Supervisor requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Fire Inspector Supervisor relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.     Summit Fire Protection, a member of Summit Companies is a premier firm in the Fire Protection and Fire Life Safety industry. We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in our Madison, Wisconsin office, with a focus on security, fire detection & alarm.

    The successful candidate will be dependable and capable of inspecting, servicing, and maintaining various types of fire detection, fire alarm, CCTV, nurse call, intercom/paging, A/V, Voice/Data, Intrusion, and other similar low voltage systems. Related experience is required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform installations, inspections, and service on a variety of types of fire detection, fire alarm, CCTV, nurse call, intercom/paging, A/V, Voice/Data, Intrusion, and other similar low voltage systems.
    • Seek out additional sales and service opportunities within existing customer locations, and advise the customer of compliance needs
    • Develop long term relationships with customers and maintain customer retention

    Requirements:

    • A current driver's license
    • Low voltage experience
    • Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge
    • Ability to lift 75 lbs. , safely use of ladders, work overhead and work in tight spaces
    • Work efficiently with minimal supervision
    • Organizational skills are essential for success
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • The ability to learn quickly is a must
    • High school degree or equivalent
