Under general supervision, the Fire Safety Inspector preforms a wide variety of fire inspection and enforcement duties in order to maintain compliance with applicable building fire codes, and local ordinances. Inspection and enforcement duties also include site fire plan review, fire related code enforcement, performing on-site inspections, issuing correction notices, performing fire prevention audits, review of fire suppression systems for commercial and residential construction, providing defensible space fire prevention assessments for the community, and other duties as assigned.
