  • General Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Extinguisher Technician/Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers to ensure the safety and protection of our clients' properties and occupants.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers according to building codes and manufacturer specifications.
    • Perform routine maintenance on fire alarm systems and extinguishers, including testing alarms, checking batteries, cleaning equipment, and replacing faulty components.
    • Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems and extinguishers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
    • Troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems and extinguishers, diagnose problems, and implement necessary repairs.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and other relevant information.
    • Provide training to building occupants on the proper use of fire extinguishers and emergency procedures.
    • Stay up-to-date with fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Interact with clients and building owners to address concerns, answer questions, and provide recommendations for improving fire safety measures.
    • Respond to emergency situations involving fire alarms or extinguishers and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in fire safety systems is preferred.
    • Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or inspector.
    • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and related equipment.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
    • Effective communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
