Fire Prevention Engineer examines buildings and conducts research to determine fire prevention techniques. Ensures fire compliance codes are being adhered to. Being a Fire Prevention Engineer educates public by providing information on fire prevention. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Fire Prevention Engineer is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Camp Fire Alaska aims to help youth develop social, emotional, physical, and academic skills that will help them see and reach their full potential. We do that by facilitating hands-on, educational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, structured play and more, all in a safely organized before and after school program setting.

    Before and After School Program Staff positions available in elementary schools in Anchorage and Eagle River. Programs run from 7-9am (7-10am on Monday) and again from 3:15-6:15pm, Monday through Friday. Program operates through the school year, beginning August 7, 2023 with training and ending with closeout on May 22, 2024.

     

    Position:

    Program Staff: Work between 25 to 29 hours per week (average) at $17.07 per hour supervising activities with groups of up to 10 kids.

    • Qualifications –
      • Minimum age limit is 16 years old
      • Ability to transport yourself to work (school site, Camp Fire office)
      • Experience working with kids in a group setting is preferred
      • Experience, training, or education in youth development, education, or recreation is preferred


    REQUIREMENTS: (can be acquired after hire with agreed upon schedule): Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED & First Aid; Food Worker Card; Mandated Reporter training certificate; Health & Safety certificate.
