    Candidate must have a complete understanding of the electrical requirements, alarm initiating devices, control functions, alarm indicating appliances, and the power requirements of a fire alarm system. Required knowledge also includes an understanding of the operation and use of manual fire alarm boxes, automatic fire detectors, audible and visual signaling appliances, annunciators, and other basic components of a fire alarm system. Must be able to stand, kneel, squat, and shimmy in and out of small spaces on a regular basis.
     
    Job Description – Fire Alarm Technician
    Requirements:
    • 5 years of experience in testing, inspecting, and repairing Fire Alarm Control Panels and devices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • NICET I or II a plus or working towards obtaining NICET Level I
    • CSA (REQUIRED)
    ·         Organization and problem solving
    ·         Sprinkler knowledge a plus
    • Must have a valid Driver's license in good standing
    Responsibilities:
    • Perform testing, inspections, and repairs on Fire Alarm Systems and it’s supporting devices
    • Working knowledge of NFPA and IFC codes
    • Complete and review inspection reports accurately prior to these results being sent to customers and AHJ’s
    • TI’s and small installs
    • Perform troubleshooting, services, and repairs if necessary
