Prevention Specialist - Federally funded grant position (Drug-Free Communities Grant); Mon-Fri, with flexibility for limited evening or weekend events. The Hazel Pittman Center -Chester County’s designated authority for matters related to substance use, misuse, abuse, and dependence- seeks a qualified candidate to plan, develop, and implement alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) prevention programs and activities in the community. Applicants should have good written/oral communication skills and the ability to deliver public presentations. He/she should enjoy working with youth and/or community groups or organizations and be able to successfully organize and manage multiple work priorities. The ability to work well both independently and as part of a small team is essential. A Bachelor’s Degree in a human-service-related field is required; previous experience in the field of ATOD abuse prevention, public health, or health education is preferred. Candidate must achieve professional certification within three years of employment.
