Currently, we have openings for Fire Sprinkler Apprentice. The primary responsibilities include assisting with performing installations / modifications of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.
All employees hired to be fire sprinkler apprentices will be required to participate in the Fire Sprinkler Apprentice Program. The apprentice program will require attendance at ABC apprentice school during the school year, for 2 night per week for up to 3 hours per night.
The apprentice will attend school on their own time, however the majority of the schooling expenses will be paid by Piper Fire. Continued employment and enrollment will be contingent upon the employee maintaining attendance and grade minimums. Additionally, there will be wage increases given at regular intervals throughout the program.

Qualifications
Only applicants that possess the minimum qualifications will be considered. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Schedule:
Compensation: $16-$20/hr to start. Raises will be given bi annually during the apprentice program.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. The position requires climbing ladders and scaffolds, as well as the ability to work in excess of 40 feet above the ground. He/she must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite. Heavy equipment may be used and he/she needs to be able to lift weighty objects up to 50 lbs. above his/her head.
