Personal Training Director

Catalyst Fitness is looking for a qualified, professional, and career minded Personal Training Director to join our team.   The Personal Training Director assists in the operations of the Personal Training department and always leads by example. The Personal Training Director is responsible for contributing to the overall production and success of the Personal Training department and reports directly to the General Manager (GM).

You will be responsible for the following:

• Recruit, hire, & develop the Personal Training staff
• Maintain all sales percentages & requirements
• Consistently achieve sales goals
• Work closely with GM to maintain member relationships & cultivate referrals
• Direct the operation of the Personal Training department
• Assist the GM in the operation of the club
• Assist and manage administrative responsibilities including employee paperwork, Personal Training payroll, etc...
• Assist in the development of Catalyst Fitness front desk staff
• Create additional traffic & generate sales
• Complete daily sales & production reports
• Maintain the staff schedule according to Catalyst Fitness standards and the club’s needs
• Must participate in the quality and management of the Catalyst Fitness location
• Must maintain all records per local and federal legal requirements
• Informs all staff of new policies
• Must promote & inform employees of all marketing promotions
• Must create and maintain an enjoyable environment for all employees, members, & guests
• Management location rotations occur regularly within market.  Reasonable travel for meetings and personnel training is required.

Position Requirements

• CPR/AED and at least one nationally recognized personal training certification or scheduled to be certified in next 30 days

• Previous sales experience
• Previous management experience 
• Strong oral and written communication skills required 
• Must be capable of working collegially with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and visitors on a daily basis
• Prior experience in personal training or group fitness
• College degree in related field is a bonus
• Physical effort required to carry out daily duties such as lifting supplies and gym equipment potentially in excess of 50lbs.
