  • GENERAL SUMMARY

    Under the direction of the Executive Director, this position is responsible for serving as a hands-on administrative director at the community level, in order to ensure optimal health and well-being for residents, including developing and implementing a "whole person-centered" wellness program that incorporates a comprehensive wellness program to meet the needs of the residents, their family, and our community employees through effective communication and coordination of activities.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    The job duties listed are essential functions of the position. However, other duties may be assigned, and may also be considered essential functions of the position.

    1. Plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates, reviews, and evaluates wellness programs, services, activities, and facility operations.

    2. Establishes schedules and methods for providing all programs and services; recommends improvements or modifications consistent with resident's needs.

    3. Participates in the development of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned services and programs; recommends and implements policies and procedures including standard operating procedures for assigned operations.

    4. Works with Community residents in the development, coordination, and promotion of all recreation and leisure programs; oversees and coordinates facility usage, and scheduling of activities, instruction, and events. Instruct individuals and group classes with appropriate techniques.

    5. Oversees the safe and proper operation of the Community's facilities, including all external inspections; inspects facility for needed repairs and maintenance contract compliance; coordinates with contractors to coordinate repairs.

    6. Provides staff assistance to management; prepares and presents staff reports and other written materials; supervises the establishment and maintenance of reports, records, and files; ensures the proper documentation of operations and activities.

    7. Maintains accurate records of services and activities, including recreation schedules, program participation and analysis, rosters of participants, revenues, expenditures, accidents etc.

    8. Investigates and responds to complaints and inquiries, recommending corrective actions to resolve issues. Follow and apply exercise norms/protocols per industry standards.

    9. Stimulates all wellness programs for co-workers and works with other departments establishing wellness applications and continuum of services (i.e., food service, activities, therapy, etc.).

    10. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
