Fitness Instructor jobs in Gastonia, NC
Fitness Instructor coordinates all fitness programs for a facility. Organizes and instructs exercise classes for all fitness levels. Being a Fitness Instructor ensures that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment. Responsible for making sure that the exercise area and equipment are safe and clean. Additionally, Fitness Instructor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Fitness Instructor typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will provide cutting-edge group fitness instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes to promote fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment.
Requirements / Personal Skills:- Must be passionate about the fitness industry and have a strong desire to help others.
- Must be certified in the discipline you are instructing as well as CPR/AED certified.
- All applications should possess strong communication skills, use of social media to promote your classes, and be a team player.
- Various class times available: mornings and evenings
Job Responsibilities:- Instruct safe and effective exercise classes.
- Maintain positive relationships with members and encourage class attendance.
- Maintain all mandatory education certifications.
- Understand and follow all policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional disposition at all times.
- Follow all club/facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications- Certification (AFFA, ISSA, etc.)
- CPR Certification
- Certification and education assistance is available.
