Fitness Instructor coordinates all fitness programs for a facility. Organizes and instructs exercise classes for all fitness levels. Being a Fitness Instructor ensures that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment. Responsible for making sure that the exercise area and equipment are safe and clean. Additionally, Fitness Instructor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Fitness Instructor typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities: - Conduct fitness classes and programs in a safe and effective manner - Provide instruction and guidance on proper exercise techniques, form, and body mechanics - Develop and implement engaging workouts that cater to different fitness levels and goals - Motivate and inspire participants to reach their full potential during each session - Monitor participant progress, provide feedback, and offer modifications as needed - Ensure a clean and organized workout environment - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in fitness techniques - Collaborate with other fitness professionals to create a well-rounded fitness experience Requirements: - Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology - Experience in teaching various fitness disciplines such as cycle, sports coaching, dance, personal training, group fitness, yoga, etc. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively demonstrate exercises and provide clear instructions - Ability to create and implement program designs tailored to individual needs - Passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals - Current certification in group fitness or personal training (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA) - CPR/AED certification is required - Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor We offer competitive compensation rates for our Fitness Instructors.
