Fitness Instructor coordinates all fitness programs for a facility. Organizes and instructs exercise classes for all fitness levels. Being a Fitness Instructor ensures that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment. Responsible for making sure that the exercise area and equipment are safe and clean. Additionally, Fitness Instructor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Fitness Instructor typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Hours: Flexibility and ability to work in shifts such as mornings, afternoons, evenings and/or weekends.
Skills Required:
Must have current, Personal Training, CPR and First Aid certifications.
Experience in group training
Experience with injured or people with limitations is preferred.
Willing, able to learn and apply the Wallace Fitness™ Discipline.
Ability to perform exercises and movements as demonstrations for clients.
Ability to lift 45lb weight to set the exercises up for clients (I.e. setting up barbell squat with 45lb weights on each side)
Ability to conduct online training or willing to learn
Genuine care for all Wallace Fitness™ clients and Wallace Fitness™ Team Members
Organized and detail oriented.
Reliable and punctual, if not early you are late.
Friendly and a supportive team member.
Passionate about health and fitness.
Ability to train clients of all ages, especially seniors.
Taking notes and using electronic devices such as but not limited to computers and iPads.
Experience with group classes, yoga, online is a plus
Responsibilities and Duties:

Assume the responsibility of training existing and new clients following WF guidelines.
Clean & maintain the facilities.
Maintain personal integrity and your own health and fitness.
