Fitness Instructor coordinates all fitness programs for a facility. Organizes and instructs exercise classes for all fitness levels. Being a Fitness Instructor ensures that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment. Responsible for making sure that the exercise area and equipment are safe and clean. Additionally, Fitness Instructor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Fitness Instructor typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. ```Duties```
Senior strength instructor, Zumba or dance fitness.
- Provide fitness instruction and guidance to individuals or groups
- Develop and implement exercise programs tailored to the needs and goals of clients
- Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, form, and body mechanics
- Lead group fitness classes in various disciplines such as dance, Pilates, CrossFit, etc.
- Monitor and motivate clients during workouts to ensure safety and effectiveness
- Modify exercises or routines as needed to accommodate different fitness levels or limitations
- Demonstrate exercises and techniques to clients and provide feedback for improvement
- Maintain a clean and organized workout area

- Certification in fitness instruction or related field
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and exercise science principles
- Experience in program design and development for individuals or groups
- Ability to effectively communicate and motivate clients of all fitness levels
- Experience in sports coaching or other relevant fitness disciplines is a plus
- Knowledge of various fitness modalities such as Pilates, CrossFit, dance, etc.
- Excellent understanding of body mechanics and proper form during exercise
- Strong sales skills to promote fitness services and attract new clients
