Job Title:Fixed Assets Analyst

Job Summary:
The Fixed Assets Analyst will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting decision-making processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
Generate monthly reports for the Business, such as asset listing, net book value, depreciation forecasts
Recording fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation at the job cost level
Maintain a comprehensive register of all fixed assets, including acquisition, disposals, and depreciation schedules
Analyze the impact of depreciation on financial statements
Perform periodic reviews of fixed assets ledger for impairment
Perform regular reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of fixed asset records
Oversee the preparation and payment of invoices relating to capital assets
Monitor and update asset tagging and tracking systems
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports for management and stakeholder
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to fixed assets for regulatory compliance
Work closely with procurement and operations teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of asset acquisitions and disposals
Evaluate the financial impact of asset purchases and disposals
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies related to fixed assets
Coordinate and record relevant insurance information, such as location, driver, etc., to be provided to the insurance carrier
Work closely with field operators to ensure physical asset locations and attributes are in line with the accounting records
Acquire and maintain proper documents and records for asset maintenance, including vehicle titles, registrations, insurance cards, etc., and keep records up to date
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements
Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry
Proficient Microsoft Office productivity suite
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent preferred
At least two years of related experience preferred
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP
CPA or relevant certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands as necessary
Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels
Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
