About the Role

This fixed-term contract role is the Events Assistant Manager who will be responsible for the logistics and on-site management of events and group experiences at the TWE Sites and off-site supported events.  The contract will run from June 2024 through December 2024.

Key responsibilities for this role

• Events include - Company special events (ex. TWE Board Member visits, Icon release), client (corporate and social) events, weddings, and group tastings (in-person and virtually).  Not limited to this list. This includes off-site events as well. 
• Conduct logistical site inspection (with clients and vendors) and as needed, site inspections for selling of the estates/experience.
• Conduct set-up, execution, and breakdown of events.  This includes movement of tables, chairs, etc.; sourcing wines and servicing, menu formatting and printing, managing vendors and all aspects of event management. 
• Act as host, representative for TWE, direct operations of staff during event, resolve problems, and setup/breakdown/clean-up.
• While not hosting/managing events, this role would be pulled in to assist with confirming customer details, updating event order and coordinate outside vendors including caterers, rentals, décor, etc.
• Utilizing the TWE event management software – reviewing event details, updating, pulling reports for weekly meetings. 
• Hosting weekly meetings to review upcoming events – this includes Event Team, sites and Trade Education. 
• Promote wine sales, shipping, or carry out during events.
• Evaluate safety call outs and logistical issues or benefits. 
• Maintain standards of excellence/luxury for all TWE events and meeting client expectation. Managing guests needs, responsible beverage service (by TWE or vendors), safety reports, etc. 
• Follow up with site and vendors for feedback and recap for Sales Managers to do client follow up. This includes wins, opportunity, sales, suggestions for enhancements.
• Support with gifting orders during October, November and December.  This will include entering orders, processing payments and tracking packages. 
• Processing event payments and updating event orders.
• Safety lead for Events Department.
• Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

About You

• You have at least 2-3 years of previous experience in special events, hospitality, or restaurant service. Wine industry experience helpful but not required.
• You have experience managing people or are ready to 
• You are highly organized, resourceful and self-motivated. 
• You are open to work overtime (extended hours, holidays and weekends) as needed.
• You have a valid California driver’s license.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills, one-on-one,  and in small and large group.
• You are able to convey a positive, professional and brand-consistent image of TWE through personal appearances and interpersonal interactions.
• You are comfortable working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
• You are self-driven and able to work independently.
• You are able to handle difficult customers while providing excellent customer service and hospitality.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $22.44 to $28.75 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work within our Napa Valley locations.  If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
