Our Finance team is looking for a Sr. Accountant, Fixed Asset with a solid academic background and a desire to influence a cleaner future through the electrification of the transportation sector. The Role:
- Preparation of monthly capitalization templates in liaison with Finance/operations personnel
- Reconciliation of Fixed assets and Construction-in-progress accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate accumulation of costs and ensuring timely capitalization into fixed assets
- Monthly review of expense accounts and identifying asset capitalization timely per the company’s fixed assets accounting policy
- Ensuring physical existence of assets by leading asset tagging assignment periodically
- Reconciliation and review of Fixed assets and Construction-in-progress accruals in coordination with finance/operations
- Preparation of internal controls on accounting processes and ensure compliance with SOX for fixed assets and related operations
- Support external audit for interim and year-end audit procedures
- Partner closely with key internal stakeholders (i.e., finance, supply chain, logistics, production, FP&A, IT etc.) to streamline workflows, reduce monthly close cycle time and ensure a continuous improvement in fixed assets processes
- Implementing automation initiatives in various components of the Fixed assets process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Proficient in US GAAP
- CPA license preferred
- Automotive industry experience preferred or experience in the large-scale manufacturing space with a large supplier base
- Working knowledge of SAP S4 Hanna or related manufacturing systems
- Minimum 4 years in a financial accounting role
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to build cross functional partnerships and work in a collaborative environment
- Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and continuously evolving to meet changing business needs
