Fleet Administrator assists in administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations. Understands OSHA, DOT, fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. Being a Fleet Administrator prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting. Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements. Additionally, Fleet Administrator may assist with safety training and communication programs. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fleet Administrator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Transdev is currently seeking an auto technician to join our team in Allentown, PA, where we provide Paratransit transportation services for LANTA. We are looking for skilled and experienced fleet and/or auto technicians who can diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment, conduct daily safety inspections, all while working under general supervision.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with Transdev standards.
    • Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair all assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment.
    • Ensure accurate upgrades and modifications on coach systems, respond to road calls, and carry out on-the-road repairs as necessary.
    • Coach and supervise team members within the work team.
    • Fulfill other duties as required.
    Qualifications:
    • Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
    • Maintenance experience with all types of heavy-duty transit equipment.
    • For Mechanic C Level: Minimum of 1 year of experience.
    • Possession of an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams.
    • Read, write, and speak English for Safety reasons.
    • Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and drug test.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be flexible with shifts or work schedules as needed.
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear.
    • Frequent sitting may be required.
    • Occasional need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and to use the sense of smell.
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
    • Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold and in a damp environment with moderate noise.
    • Exposure to water, fumes, and chemicals may occur.
