Fleet Administrator assists in administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations. Understands OSHA, DOT, fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. Being a Fleet Administrator prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting. Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements. Additionally, Fleet Administrator may assist with safety training and communication programs. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fleet Administrator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. As a Fleet Maintenance Administrator, you will use your excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills to maintain good morale among your Team and keep your Customers happy.
This administrative and operational role primarily focuses on coordinating fleet maintenance and repairs. In this role, you will set preventative maintenance schedules and track the completion of these maintenance tasks by external vendors. On-boarding new customers into the systems and having a working knowledge of Fleet Maintenance and Telematics programs is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
Great written and verbal communication skills

Schedule fleet maintenance and repairs
Work with external vendors, including service writers & mechanics
Maintain communication with customers on daily basis
Create and monitor Operating Cost Summary reports for customers
Maintain a current database of vehicle and driver information for customers

Fleet Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications:
2 years of experience in a fleet management or customer service roles
Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivation and training
Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are required
Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities
Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software
Computer proficiency
Valid driver's license
