Fleet Administrator assists in administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations. Understands OSHA, DOT, fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. Being a Fleet Administrator prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting. Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements. Additionally, Fleet Administrator may assist with safety training and communication programs. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fleet Administrator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. The Fleet Technician position provides performance of fleet maintenance of the Logistics Department. Includes preventative maintenance of rolling stock assets, shop facilities, and coordination of third-party mechanic repairs. Operates as a critical link between dispatch, driver group, maintenance, facilities, and management. Works with the Arrow management team to elevate issues and report on truck and trailer down time and what assets are in and out of service. Evaluates need to meet daily business demands. Understands the business implications of the decision-making process and provides solutions to ensure high quality service and safety of all Arrow truck and trailer assets.
