Fleet Manager manages the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles. Oversees scheduling and dispatch operations for vehicles and drivers. Being a Fleet Manager evaluates, purchases, leases, and disposes of vehicles to maintain the fleet. Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services. Additionally, Fleet Manager administers insurance policy coverage, negotiates agreements, and participates in claim resolution. Develops and implements safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Fleet Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. We’re currently looking for a Fleet Development Manager (FDM) to join our team in Nebraska. This role will report to the Region Manager (Truck Group) and be responsible for identifying, securing and developing targeted fleet accounts, as well as developing existing accounts with tire and retread products, services and mobility solutions.

** This individual will be required to live in and cover the state of Nebraska. **
The FDM is responsible for calling on fleets with locations in a specific territory, with the intent of growing sales of Bridgestone tires, retreading, services and mobility solutions, and documenting that activity in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. The FDM is heavily focused on calling on fleets to generate sales and works closely with dealers to satisfy fleet needs. The FDM provides ideas and market feedback on Bridgestone’s current products and solutions.

Managing a portfolio from the top fleets and government accounts in territory.
Supporting National/Strategic Account initiatives.
Working with Dealer Customer Sales Representatives (CSRs) to grow business in top fleets.
CSR training and adoption of Bridgestone Fleet Care Solutions
Collecting competitive market intelligence to share with the market team.
Communicating with District Dealer Manager (DDM) and Region Manager to align business objectives and dealer performance.
Working in the field with prospective and current fleet customers, creating and executing fleet-specific annual business plans.
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Able to drive a car and travel, as needed
