Fleet Manager jobs in Washington, DC

D.M.Bowman, Inc. is looking for a Fleet Manager! This position provides leadership to the fleet and manages all the day-to-day activity that occures which includes; safety, sales, customer service, professional development, personnel management, and billing/financial performance. The Fleet Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to all driving and non-driving employees within a designated profit center(s).
• Promote the maximization of operational profitability through safety, customer service, cost and revenue management, resource optimization, staff development, and retention.
• Ensure adherence to D.M.Bowman, Inc safety programs, policies, procedures and Department of Transportation regulations
• Ensure data for key factor objectives and asset management is reported accurately and timely
• Maintain positive relationships with all company departments such as safety, sales, accounting, maintenance, etc.
• Answering phone calls in a timely fashion
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business, transportation or related field preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Four years of management experience required
