Oversees part installation and inspects adjustments or modifications to existing parts. Being a Flight Inspector (Jet) performs preflight and post flight inspections identifying any breach of standards for safe flight. Requires a high school diploma, a flight inspector license. Additionally, Flight Inspector (Jet) typically reports to the Chief Flight Inspector. The Flight Inspector (Jet) independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Operates and programs a Flow Waterjet. Operates and programs a CNC Trumpf press brake. Operates power hand tools such as Cordless drill, sanders, grinders, horizontal and vertical saws, and drill presses. Meets safety, quality and production standards.

Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent:
Reviews procedures, work orders, blueprints, set-up sheets, .dfx files and receive verbal work instructions.
Pulls required material using overhead crane and/or forklift, retrieves .DFX files from server and loads them into Flowpath to provide the best cutting process for a part in Flowcut. When running multiple parts at the same time from a single sheet of material you must understand and use Flownest to get the best nesting of part from a sheet of material..
Must be able to select tooling, program at the machine, bend flat patterns on a Trumpf Tramabend V130.
Performs program offsets at machine controls if needed.
Learns to set up and/or make necessary changes to set ups.
Learns to program in Flowpath, Flowcut, Flownest.

Debur parts as the come off the waterjet in preparation for next operations.

Performs routine preventative maintenance and cleaning on waterjet. Assists with maintenance and care of work area and shop as needed.

Stock and inventory tooling, maintain a neat and organized work center.
