We are seeking the most fun Coast Guard Licensed Captains in Florida, that also are looking to work on the side as our yacht toy and office worker. Our company's mission is to show people the best time on the water and for 5 years, we have delivered. This position will require acting as Captain on our 23-foot dual console. The ideal candidate has great situational awareness so that they prevent any accidents and can keep guests safe. Team mentality, great communication, and high energy are top qualities for this position. Each vessel holds up to 6 people Captain, and range from 2-6 hour trips. We operate flyboard, seabob, e-foil, tubing, and electric surfboard rentals as well. you will be required to bring the guests out and anchor in designated area, go over instructions and safely let them in the water.
On top of the hourly rate, tips average daily but fantastic Captains typically can receive good tips. The hours are long but are spent on the water and in the sun having a blast. Required skills are solid anchoring, basic knots, and strong swimmer. If you are looking to get into (or out of) yachting, this could be the perfect job for you. We love to see people grow and can help you accomplish your goals; all we ask for is a minimum of 3 months committment for our busy season. 25ton (minimum) Coast Guard License is required. Passing a drug test is mandatory since you will be working on a US Coast Guard inspected vessel. You are also required to have permission to work in the USA.
During periods of no charters going out, you will be working hourly in our office, delivering toys to yachts or in our warehouse working on, and taking care of all different types of water toys, such as seabob, Jetskis, e-foils, electric surfboards, and inflatables. This is a super fun and small company that is very personable and looking for the right fit.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate boats safely and efficiently
- Ensure the safety of passengers and crew members on board
- Maintain and inspect the boat's mechanical systems regularly
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed
- Flush motor, and wash down precisely
- Communicate with passengers and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow all maritime regulations and safety protocols
Experience:
- Must have a valid Boat Captain's license
- Previous experience operating boats of various sizes and types
- Strong knowledge of boat mechanics and maintenance
- Familiarity with navigation charts and GPS systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and in various weather conditions
