The professional Flight Instructor position is responsible for teaching in an academic flight training environment.
TCC Flight Instructors may train students in a classroom setting, conduct flight/ground training, determine student proficiency, and document student progress and FAA training records.
They are responsible for maintaining a safe training environment for the program.
Responsibilities include but not limited to; training students in subject areas such as aircraft systems, operating procedures, handling emergencies, problem analysis, aircraft navigation, radio communications, airport operations, and aerodynamics.
The position requires strict adherence to FAA regulations and approved training course syllabi.
This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute
Must possess current FAA Flight Instructor certificates/ratings and current FAA Medical Certificate.
CFII required.
Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive community college.
MEI preferred.
Bachelor's degree with a significant combination of training, experience or appropriate certification.
