Flight Medic transports and transfers patients by aircraft and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Being a Flight Medic replenishes the aircraft with medical supplies after flights. Must be CPR certified. Additionally, Flight Medic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to manager. Flight Medic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Tango Flight Technical Coordinator
    Bassick High School

    Job Description
    Under the direction of the Principal of Bassick High School or designee, the Tango Flight Coordinator is responsible for management of Tango Flight programming, with expert guidance and technical assistance to the school staff engaged in the project. Tango Flight is a high school course that provides students with the tools to build and fly a two-seat airplane over the course of a school year. The Coordinator will have the knowledge, technical capability and specialized expertise to guide the school team effectively in the application of aviation and aerospace engineering principles.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage the Tango Flight Program in conjunction with the Bassick school team.
    • Coordinate mentor programming.
    • Provide mentoring in technical knowledge and the airplane construction process.
    • Engage in community outreach for support of programming.
    • Order and procure required supplies, following the school district's procurement procedures.
    • Guide the instructional staff in learning essential knowledge and practical skills, so that they can effectively deliver instruction in the classroom.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Masters degree preferred.
    • Proficient in the specialized knowledge and practical skills required to provide technical assistance in the areas of aviation, aerospace engineering and automotive construction.
    • Demonstrated ability to interrelate and work effectively with adults and high school students.
    • Experience in mentoring high school students preferred.
    • Excellent project and time management skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Per Diem Salary:
    The per diem salary [3 days/week] will be commensurate with the education and experience of the selected candidate.
