    We are currently looking to hire a Practice Manager to join our team!


    The Practice Manager collaborates closely with physician clients and MMG leadership to ensure the practice delivers excellent patient services by balancing operations, human resources, and financial management while staying apprised of the best practices within the field. The Practice Manager will create policies and procedures to encourage and optimize the performance and growth of the practice. 


    The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a Healthcare environment (i.e. Medical Office, Hospital), demonstrated experience handling practice management functions, ops/revenue cycle assessments, and have an understanding of basic protocols and procedures in a billing/reimbursement setting. Candidate should display a professional demeanor with a high business acumen, and have the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels and clients. Individual should be highly organized, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, and demonstrate the ability to handle and provide resolution to complex situations. 


    Responsibilities:

    • Directs day to day operations of the practice including ongoing review and evaluations of work activities, delegation of duties, and implementation of policies and procedures. 
    • Understand the goals of the practice and work to obtain these goals both independently and with the direction of MMG leadership and physician partners.
    • Demonstrates a basic understanding of fiscal management including accounting, bookkeeping, billing, reimbursement, fee schedule management and purchasing.
    • Conducts operational revenue cycle assessments, review/analyze results, and make recommendations.
    • Implement best practices and create appropriate tracking, reporting, and analysis of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of these best practices. 
    • Create and incorporate new workflows into the practice to achieve efficiency and designs of the given systems.
    • Assists in recruiting, hiring, orientation, and termination/off boarding of employees. 
    • Maintain and support the practice’s software systems, including EPM, EMR and accounting.
    • Maintain employee personnel files, benefits, and employment records, in accordance with state and federal regulations. 
    • Works with staff to establish performance standards for work assignments, monitors work status, and progress including goals and objectives.
    • Assists in employee training, including office policies and procedures, compliance with government regulations including but not limited to HIPAA and OSHA.
    • Prepare annual budget, analyze patterns, projects expenditures and present reports to the physician partners. 
    • Create and analyze monthly financial reports.
    • Ensure timely and accurate insurance claim submission, patient statement generation and payment posting. 
    • Manages all practice managed care relationships, including monitoring of related reimbursement, negotiation with third party payers, provider credentialing, and maintenance of contracts.
    • Stay apprised of industry trends and changes in revenue cycle and with government regulatory commissions. 
    • Understands key metrics and key performance indicators to manage the practice efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Maintains contracts with supply and equipment vendors, oversees ordering of administrative and medical supplies and maintenance of office equipment. 
    • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest healthcare trends and developments. 
    • Ability to travel to private practice locations on an as needed basis; potential to include out of state and/or overnight, as necessary. 
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned. 

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Management or related field, preferred.   
    • 5 years’ experience in healthcare private practice management preferred.  
    • Prior experience managing a medical office or hospital department required.
    • Understanding of revenue cycle management, collections, and ICD-10.  
    • Ability to operate independently and is self-motivated and proactive in initiating and executing deliverables.
    • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply protocols and procedures in a clinical setting including health information management, confidentiality, and safety.
    • Organize and prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible to changing demands.
    • Ability to react calmly and effectively in high stress or delicate situations.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including facilitation and presentation to cross functional team members.  
    • Able to analyze complex data and draw conclusions.
    • Must have high level of discretion and judgment.
    • Able to make decisions with limited information in a timely fashion.
    • Utilize a proactive approach to solving problems and willingness to confront and raise issues before they become problems.    
    • High proficiency with computer software including but not limited to health information management system, billing software, insurance websites, and Microsoft Office.
    • Competency with standard office and medical office equipment.
    • Ability to travel to MMG corporate office and private practice locations on an as needed basis; potential to include out of state and/or overnight as necessary.

     

    Physical Demands:

    • Work may require sitting for long periods of time.
    • 40-50% Travel to physician practices on an as needed basis; potential to include out of state and/or overnight, as necessary.
    • Occasionally lifting files or paper.
    • Operating a computer, keyboard, a calculator, telephone, copier, fax, scanner or other such office equipment through a normal business day.
    • Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts.
    • Will require viewing computer screen and typing on a keyboard for prolonged periods of time.
