What we do: Epic Flight Academy is a FAA Part 141 Flight School founded in 1999. We train
applicants that are seeking a career in aviation in becoming a professional pilot. Epic Flight
Academy is committed to providing a safe and efficient experience for all its customers.
Purpose: The Dispatcher oversees the coordination and aligning of training aircraft, instructors, and students to ensure that each clients meets his/her training goals.
Additionally, assist in coordinating aircraft maintenance.
Job Functions:
Includes but not limited to:
Responsible for several support functions associated with flight course activities,
including dispatching, flight following, customer service, and controlling the flow of fleet
aircraft for maintenance both scheduled and unscheduled.
Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and maintain a company image appropriate
to Epic.
Assist in ensuring the aircraft inspections are complied with and repairs are properly
documented before aircraft are dispatched.
Assist in flight following of all Epic solo flight activities.
Perform scheduling operations for day of activities.
Perform next day scheduling operations after normal scheduling hours.
Collect payment from all flight course activities.
Follow policy and procedures.
Answer phone calls and transfer the customer over to the respective employee.
Receive and add payments to the student’s account.
Be able to drive the Epic bus to pick and drop off students at Epic’s student housing.
And other tasks that are assigned or given by the lead dispatcher and/ or manager
Position Requirements:
Good communication skills (both written and oral)

Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team setting
Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays and shift changes as required
Aviation knowledge is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb,
balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use hands and fingers to operate a
computer and telephone keyboard
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up
to 75 pounds
MUST be able to work any shifts; 5 AM - 2 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, 2 PM- 10 PM, 4 PM - 1 AM
