Flight Medic transports and transfers patients by aircraft and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Being a Flight Medic replenishes the aircraft with medical supplies after flights. Must be CPR certified. Additionally, Flight Medic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to manager. Flight Medic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Under the supervision of the Manager, and under the direction of a licensed medical physician or designated healthcare provider, the remote site Security Officer/Tech Medic administers emergency medical treatment and transports sick and injured patients to definitive care medical facilities or evaluates and treats non-emergent illness or injury.
This is a rotational position, working a 2 week on / 2 week off schedule, located on the Alyeska Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS).
Transportation between Anchorage/Fairbanks and the jobsite, room and board are provided.
