Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medic to join our medical team. As a Medic, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical care and assistance to patients in various settings. Your expertise and quick thinking will be crucial in ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals in need of medical attention.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and triage to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses
- Administer Advanced life support techniques, including CPR and airway management
- Provide emergency medical care and treatment to patients in accordance with established protocols
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all procedures, medications administered, and observations made
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols, utilizing aseptic techniques during procedures
- Conduct physical examinations to assess patient conditions and identify any abnormalities or changes
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members
Experience:
- Paramedic License
- Previous experience as a Medic or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of emergency medical procedures
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in critical situations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
