Flight Medic transports and transfers patients by aircraft and assesses the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Being a Flight Medic replenishes the aircraft with medical supplies after flights. Must be CPR certified. Additionally, Flight Medic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to manager. Flight Medic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     As a Combat Medic Specialist, you'll administer emergency medical care in the field in both combat and humanitarian situations. Your training will allow you to serve as a first responder and triage illnesses and injuries to save lives, much like a paramedic in the civilian world. You'll also train other Soldiers in lifesaver/first responder courses and provide care on base while not deployed.

    Job duties:
    • Administer emergency medical treatment.
    • Assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment.
    • Instruct Soldiers on Combat Lifesaver/First Responder training course.
    • Manage Soldier's medical readiness, medical supplies, and equipment.

    Training:
    • 10 weeks of Basic Training
    • 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training

    Requirements:
    • Medical: No major medical issues or concerns *Must complete a full medical screening process.
    • Moral: No major law violations and have a favorable background *Must complete an FBI background check
    • Education: Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent or be a High School Senior on track to graduate.
    • Test: Must pass an aptitude test with ASVAB Score: 101 Skilled Technical (ST) and 107 General Technical (GT)
    • Contract: Must enlist into the Army or Army Reserves *This is not a civilian position
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Meet Tattoo Guidelines
