Flight Navigator locates the position of an aircraft and directs its course on domestic and international flights, using navigational aids. May require an associate's degree with at least 4 years of experience in the field. Being a Flight Navigator is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Flight Navigator performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. JOB SUMMARY: Serves as a single point of contact for referring physicians, patients, and caregivers to provide resources and assistance with accessing clinical and supportive care services offered within Teton Cancer Institute and in the community. Facilitates patient appointments, including those made with labs, diagnostic areas, and specialty physicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification: Active, unencumbered Idaho license RN, BSN, and OCN preferred, Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Certification through ONS is necessary, current BLS, ACLS and PALS certificates.
Experience: Experience in oncology or patient care navigation a plus.
Equipment/Technology: Ability to successfully and competently utilize computer software; Microsoft Office competency required
Language/Communication: Requires excellent leadership, organizational, written, and verbal communication and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in a self-directed environment, with an ability to work with and lead teams
Mathematical Skills: Moderate math skills required.
Mental Capabilities: Ability to multi-task with competing priorities, exercise independent judgment with attention to detail. Must have organizational skills to prepare, assemble and review various documents. Requires problem solving, decision making and critical thinking.
Interpersonal: Ability to encourage group process and foster growth in others. Able to accept, clarify and utilize constructive criticism. Excellent presentation skills; ability to implement professional and community based education programs.
Performance: Can maintain confidentiality. The ability to work efficiently and effectively without close supervision. Able to deal with difficult client situations and emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
