UpSkilling Navigator
MassHire Cape and Islands Career Center
This is an in-office/on the road position.
The Upskilling Navigator is responsible for the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of MassHire Cape and Islands Career Center customers into skills training programs funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The Upskilling Navigator’s responsibilities:
· to encourage customers who are under or unemployed and interested in upgrading their current skills or learning new skills to achieve their employment goals, by participating in ARPA funded training programs.
· to creatively recruit customers for the training programs, support enrolled customers through program completion and assist with job placement.
· to develop relationships and collaborate closely with training providers, members of the MassHire Business team, and others in the workforce development ecosystem.
Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field with two-years’ experience involving career counseling, case management, recruitment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Proficient use of computers, databases, and programs.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team.
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with clients, vendors, employers, and agencies.
· Ability to research and collect data.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and multi-cultural backgrounds.
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Mileage provided.
· Knowledge of MassHire system and regional employment system a plus.
This is a 35 hour work week position.
Salary: $50,661.00-$55,359.00 plus excellent benefits.
