The Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of corporate, safety and compliance training events. This includes vetting third party trainers, scheduling in-person and online training events, coordinating with operations and engineering leadership and the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department to determine regulatory-required and best practices training, tracking employee trainings in the learning management system (LMS), assist in the development of training content for in-person and online trainings, and ensuring the trainers have all the necessary equipment and materials for training sessions.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and EHS leaders to identify necessary training and schedule training events.
- Prepare and present comprehensive training reports to management and key stakeholders.
- Identify and vet third-party training vendors ensuring they meet training objectives and requirements.
- Assist in the development of engaging training material, including presentations, CBT modules, and training manuals.
- Manage training schedule through calendar management, enrollment of employees, and tracking training completion.
- Coordinate activities for training events including scheduling training rooms, sending notifications, scheduling attendees and trainers. Coordinate snacks and meals for participants as needed.
- Support training events by ordering necessary course materials and ensuring the instructor has all necessary items to conduct the class.
- LMS maintenance of training records, providing reports and information on completed trainings necessary, and assisting with audits of training records.
- Identify and vet internal or third-party training vendors to meet training objectives and requirements.
- Perform data entry to record, plan and schedule training using Learning Management System.
- Update LMS as needed including assigning curriculum, adding new courses, and deleting courses.
- Monitors training reports within LMS to assure that initial and annual required training is completed on time for each role and individual.
- Perform regular administrative tasks including user support and troubleshooting of LMS.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's in Business Administration, Natural Sciences, or Education preferred.
- 1-3 years of Oil & Gas industry experience required.
- Strong Excel proficiency (VLookup, XLookup, Pivot Tables) required.
- 1-3 years of experience supporting field or corporate training preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience supporting EHS preferred.
- Experience working in PeopleSoft and LMS preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization.
- Must possess the skills necessary to present themselves in a professional, courteous manner while interacting with all employee groups as well as all external customers and vendors.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple training events and initiatives.
- Self-motivated and able to problem-solve.
- Must demonstrate ability to manage training coordination in assigned region with little supervision.
- Ability to manage calendars and scheduling of multiple events.
