You must have the following credentials/experience to be considered for an interview.
- a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Human Services or a related field and two years supervisory experience in the IDD field OR an AAS degree and four years supervisory in the IDD field.
- Ability to manage others and good communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills and writing skills.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
Oversees the Hudson and Valatie IRAs
Responsibilities:
- Must provide coordination to two residential programs.
- Responsible for all schedules to ensure proper coverage of required ratios.
- Must have the ability and knowledge to provide training and oversight to IRA Team Leads and Shift Supervisors.
- Will have the ability to provide “on the floor” coverage while supervising staff. (experience with IDD will be needed)
- Responsible for all IRA and residents monies. Must meet monthly with finance for audits.
- Responsible for house maintenance that is up to date and work orders submitted in a timely manner.
- Review and verify all billing and ensure it is up to date and accurate weekly.
- Responsible for all financial processes and procedures to include but not limited to payroll, finance reports, budgets, Medicaid billing documentation in THERAP.
- Responsible for all communication with parents and guardians.
- Must conduct monthly fire drills.
- Coordinates with HR Training Department for orientations, in house trainings, staff meetings, coaching and mentoring and evaluations.
Requirements:
- The Coordinator must have sufficient flexibility in regard to assignments/ schedule and be available to the residence for consultation and support during "non-business" hours. The coordinator will work forty hours per week, including a minimum of sixteen hours per month on the weekend, observing both a Saturday and a Sunday. Scheduled hours during the week are flexible; however, they should ensure that all shifts are observed. Should typically schedule themselves to be at the IRA three evenings per week and once during the early morning hours. Monthly, a minimum of one night-shift visit should be scheduled.
- Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
- Must have a valid NYS driver’s license with acceptable driving record per agency policy.
