This is an in-office position for hire at Inspired Flight’s HQ in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Job Description

Inspired Flight is seeking a talented and experienced Production Techician II to join our manufacturing team. A Production Technician II is a specialized role responsible for complex mechanical and electrical manufacturing of medium and heavy lift small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS or drones).

This position is at the core of the manufacturing team at Inspired Flight and will be part of rapidly growing company in the growing UAV industry. Lots of upward mobility available for this role!

Typical responsibilities:

• Soldering PCBs to IPC standards and Inspired Flight quality standards
• Testing of electrical equipment
• Mechanical assembly of aircraft components
• Payload assembly and testing
• Wire harness assembly
• Assist in developmental assembly and prototyping of production parts
• Assist engineering in setting up and running tests

You’ll excel in this role if you have:

• Work well in a collaborative environment
• Aren’t shy about proposing creative ideas on how to improve product
• Are a self-starter and enjoy taking on new challenges requiring creative solutions

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of manufacturing or assembly work experience
• Experience preferably in the following industries: aviation, aerospace, defense sector
