Float Manager manages and leads a group of float analysts. Oversees information regarding float activities within an organization. Being a Float Manager designs and implements necessary process changes to speed check processing and reduce float time. Stays abreast of laws enacted by the Federal Reserve to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly. Additionally, Float Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Float Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Women and Childrens Float Pool provides nursing and tech support to clinical areas within Women and Childrens Hospital. Our nurses focus on the medical needs and treatment of a broad range of ages from newborn to adults. A thorough orientation is provided on Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, PICU, Womens surgery and RNICU. Each unit has yearly unit specific competencies that must be maintained by the Float Staff. Each unit provides individual education to meet the needs of their patient population. **A minimum of 2 years experience is required.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.
Experience: 2 years experience in any nursing field
Additional Skill/ Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. PALS, NRP required within 1 year of hire.
