Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Summary
Assembler:
Entry-level position in the manufacturing area. Hand assembles chaff products, works with machine operators and packs finished good. Observes safety procedures. Maintain clean and safe work area.
Primary Responsibilities
Assembler will perform manual tasks while standing and/or sitting at a workstation approximately 10 hours per day.
Lift no more than 25 lbs.
Exposed to noise, and dust.
Qualifications
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination is required. The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language is required. Applicants must have the ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government
Education/Previous Experience Requirement
High School diploma/GED
Six months relevant manufacturing is desired.
