Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Summary
The Assembler is responsible for assembling electrical equipment, reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together. The Assembler performs assembly operation requiring frequent handling of heavy parts and/or responsibility & skill to transfer, operate, or adjust equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Understand and adopt the Taste of Success, embracing and promoting Unox culture.
Performs progressive assembly work involving the assembly or sub-assembly of various components.
Installs various components using a wide range of powered-hand tools, to assemble, check, adjust or repair ovens.
Performs general assembly activities required including: driving screws and/or assembling other fasteners; applying tape, insulation or other materials; assembling/fastening wire harnesses, terminating wires; check, adjust, or repair sub or final assemblies; testing and/or packaging of sub or final assemblies.
Interprets schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
Assembles ovens, electrical, or electronic systems or support structures and installs components, units, subassemblies, wiring, assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.
Tests units ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
Assembles products and performs tactical day-to-day duties.
With a people orientated and process driven approach, establishes, prioritizes, and leads implementation strategies to achieve department and Unox objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing Customer Experience, throughput, quality, efficiency, and OTIF.
Maintains a growth mindset to determine future needs and priorities, and establishes the direction for resources processes and the area department.
With a dynamic attitude, collaborates, evaluates, and prioritizes department objectives, and participates in the development and implementation of business action plans as a member of the Unox team.
