Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Requirements/Responsibilities
The assembler is responsible for working at the assembly station and compiling individual guest's orders. This person will inspect, scan, bag, and rack orders. Generally this position will start in the early morning and finish up shortly after the production staff is finished pressing all the garments due for that day. Pay rate is flexible and dependent upon experience.
Requirements of this position are as follows:
- Be able to stand on feet 8 hours per shift
- Be able to review messages on computer screen
- Have some computer experience
- Bending over, squatting, reaching above the head consistently throughout the day
- Inspect garments for quality issues
- Work in a fast paced environment
