Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Assembler Shift:
- 1st shift

- Read and follow wire harness/ cable assembly instructions.
- Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
- Operate semi-automatic equipment (such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire stripers).
- Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using friendly test fixtures.
- Use a soldering iron to solder wires to connectors.
- Previous assembly/ production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and excellent hand dexterity
- Proficient in basic math skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Lifting requirements: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/ or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Ability o distinguish colored wires for accurate assembly purposes
- Handle small parts
- Perform pull/push monitors up to 10 pounds frequently
