Floor Assembler jobs in Utica, NY
Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

HOURS: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm, plus Overtime on Friday
PAY RATE: $20.00 per hourBriggs & Stratton offers the opportunity for overtime and also provides Paid Holidays after 90 days of employment!
As an assembler you will be responsible for production and assembly of finished goods.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:- Assemble a variety of components requiring multiple steps and adjustments to meet specification
- Perform assembly tasks utilizing common hand / air tools
- Inspect partial and finished assemblies for quality defects
- Be reliable, maintaining a clean attendance record
- Ensure all established safety procedures are followed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Self-starter, motivated, and detail oriented with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to do basic math
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
